Success for the new Esse 330 on Lake Geneva

The Esse 330, Esseboat’s fast and sporty weekend cruiser, delivered an impressive performance at the “Translemánique en Solitaire”, the Bol d'Or in single-handed sailing on Lake Geneva. Marc Fassbind, who participated for the first time with his Esse 330, showed that with the latest member of Esseboats’s sailboat family even a recreational sailor can reach a top placement in a regatta ranking. While some competitors did not perform well due to unstable winds, Fassbind and his Esse 330 mastered the challenging weather conditions – resulting in a respectable 13th place. The first place in the “Translemánique en Solitaire” went to David Pertuiset and his Esse 850 “Darnetal”.

Lake Zurich: Esseboats dominates Long Distance Cup

At the Long Distance Cup 2020 on Lake Zurich, Josef Schuchter with his Esse 330 made the overall ranking of Group S2. In the S6A group, Jan Bachmann took first place with his Esse 850. The rest of the field was also dominated by Esseboats: Among the first 20 boats to cross the finish line, eleven were Esse 850s and two were Esse 750s yachts.

Denmark: Esse 850 wins Baltic Sea race

For the third time, German skipper Franz Schollmeyer won the “Silverrudder Challenge” near the Danish island of Funen in the Baltic Sea with his Esse 850 “Firlefanz”. It wasn’t the first time that Schollmeyer’s Esse 850, despite open water conditions, passed sailing boats that were specifically designed to race in offshore regattas.
