The esse 850 offers perfect functionality across a wide range of wind and wave conditions and knows all the ropes – on alpine lakes as well as in coastal areas.
As the first esseboat, the esse 850 made waves far beyond Switzerland, with ripples of its success felt internationally: various awards and its own regatta class testify to its success and popularity.
The hull and deck are manufactured as a fiberglass sandwich using the infusion process. The keel is retracted by 50 cm when on the trailer in order to reduce the overall towing height to 3.30 m. The weight of the empty boat is 1260 kg. The modern aluminium rig does not require runners and the gennaker pole is made of carbon.
