Our Milestones
2003: Josef Schuchter begins collaborating with Umberto Felci and the Proteus shipyard on Lake Garda. Their goal is to develop a sailboat that can be sailed without a large crew while still offering excellent sailing performance.
March 3, 2004: The first esse 850 is successfully launched. It immediately impresses with its easy handling and finely tuned steering.
March 2004: At the Winter Regatta in Lugano, the esse 850 wins its first race, highlighting the performance of this new boat.
2004: The esse 850 is nominated by leading European yachting magazines as "European Yacht of the Year" and wins the award.
2005: esseboats introduces the esse 990 and esse 750 models, continuing the success of the esse 850. These models combine sporty sailing performance with ease of use.
2006: Introduction of the esse 850 LE, a limited edition featuring additional refinements and design updates.
2010: The esse 750 establishes itself as a standalone class with international regattas, underscoring the popularity and competitive spirit of esseboats.
2015: Launch of the esse 330, characterized by its compact size and high maneuverability, ideal for ambitious sailors.
2019: esseboats celebrates 15 years of successful boatbuilding and international recognition of their models, which are sailed in various seas around the world.
2021: Introduction of the latest models featuring innovative technologies that further enhance sailing comfort, reaffirming esseboats as a leading manufacturer in the sailboat market.
2024: esseboats celebrates 20 years of success. This anniversary marks two decades of exceptional boatbuilding, innovation, and worldwide recognition in the sailing world. The company proudly reflects on its achievements and continues to shape the future of modern sailing with new models and technologies.
